NOTICE OF RACE
1. Rules:
1.1. Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2. Sail Canada prescriptions will apply
2. Organizing Authority: Races will be hosted by the Bedford Basin Yacht Club, Bedford, Nova Scotia.
3. Description: The Regatta shall consist of a series of round the buoy races to be held in the Bedford Basin. The minimum number of races that must be completed to constitute a series is 1. The event shall be scored with prizes being awarded.
4. Eligibility: The owners and person in charge (RRS 46) of all boats entered in event must be current members in good standing of their national governing body and their home club, i.e.: local sailors must be a member of Sail Canada. Your Sail Canada card or similar proof of membership may be requested at registration. Yachts must have a valid Sail Nova Scotia PHRF rating.
5. Classes: The races shall consist of the following classes; PHRF A, PHRF B, and any one design class that meets the minimum number of registrants. A minimum of five boats must be registered in order to comprise a class and receive a separate start. A and B handicap split shall be determined by the range of ratings of the registered boats. The ratings will be the PHRF handicap assigned to each yacht by Sail Nova Scotia..

7. Entry Fees:$50.00 per Boat
8. Sailing Instructions: Sailing Instructions will be made available at BBYC at the registration Desk. See NoR 6 for available hours.
9. Courses for the Race: All classes will sail courses in the Bedford Basin. The actual Course for each race shall be posted by the Race Committee.
10. Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each class based on total points from the races sailed.
11. Insurance: All yachts carry and have available for inspection proof of $1,000,000.00 liability insurance.

Note: BBYC will make every effort to accommodate visiting yachts on its marina system. Vessels will be accommodated on a first come first served basis. BBYC has a mooring field available as well.
